The Pipeline & Energy Authority
The Murchison Law Firm has extensive experience of all aspects of the oil and gas upstream sector. This includes experience with respect to oil and gas concession arrangements, including license-based regimes, production sharing contracts, U.S. federal and state leasing and regulation, and support agreements. We regularly advise clients on joint bidding agreements, joint operating agreements, unitization agreements and upstream pipeline-related agreements, such as transportation, allocation, construction and commingling, as well as pipeline construction, crossing and connection agreements.

We have negotiated and drafted numerous purchases and sales of both producing and undeveloped oil and gas properties – on behalf of both U.S. and foreign investors – and plant and facility acquisitions and sales. We also work with due diligence matters. These purchases and sales often include participation arrangements with industry partners, joint ventures, and other related financing transactions such as bank borrowings. We also assist with a wide array of contracting matters such as processing agreements and services agreements.

In addition, Murchison Law helps our clients with oil and gas-related problems, including disputes over service contracts and drilling of wells, ownership of interests, pipeline construction, permitting and operation, and operating agreements.
Murchison Law Firm represents independent exploration and production companies and other participants in the oil and gas industry.
